Lash Enhancement Treatment

Services | Face

Latisse is a prescription medication used to increase the growth of eyelashes. The active ingredient in Latisse is bimatoprost, which was originally used to treat glaucoma. However, during clinical trials, it was found that bimatoprost also caused an increase in eyelash growth. Latisse is applied to the base of the eyelashes once a day using an applicator brush.

Latisse works by extending the growth phase of the eyelashes, and by increasing the number of hairs that grow during this phase. The active ingredient in Latisse stimulates the hair follicles, causing the lashes to grow longer, thicker, and darker.

It is important to note that Latisse is a medication that requires a prescription from a licensed healthcare provider. It is not recommended for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain eye conditions. Additionally, Latisse may cause side effects such as itching, redness, and dryness of the eyes. It is important to discuss the risks and benefits of using Latisse with a healthcare provider before starting treatment.
