Platelet hair restoration is a non-surgical treatment that involves the injection of the patient’s own blood plasma into their scalp to promote hair growth. This procedure is a concentration of platelets and growth factors that are derived from a small sample of the patient’s own blood.
During the platelet hair treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and
placed in a centrifuge machine. The machine spins the blood at high speed,
separating the plasma from the rest of the blood components.
The plasma is then injected into the patient’s scalp, where it releases growth factors that stimulate hair follicles and promote hair growth. The procedure takes about 30 minutes to an hour, and most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment.
Platelet hair restoration is considered a safe and effective hair loss treatment, with minimal side effects. However, it may not be suitable for everyone, and results may vary depending on the extent and cause of hair loss.
