Services | Body

Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition characterized by excessive sweating that goes beyond what is necessary for the body’s thermoregulation. People with hyperhidrosis may sweat profusely even when the temperature is cool or when they are at rest.

One of the medical treatments of hyperhidrosis that causes excessive sweating that is not caused by exercise or heat, is by usuing a neuromodulators, which is a neurotoxin that can be used for medical and cosmetic purposes.

When a Neuromodulator is used for hyperhidrosis, it is injected into the affected area, such as underarms.

The botulinum toxin works by blocking the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which is responsible for activating the sweat glands.

By preventing the sweat glands from being activated, a neuromodulator can significantly reduce the amount of sweat produced in the treated area. The effects of a Neuromodulator for hyperhidrosis typically last for several months, after which time the injections may need to be repeated.

Neuromodulators for hyperhidrosis is generally considered safe and effective, but it may not be suitable for everyone. People with certain medical conditions, such as neuromuscular disorders, may not be able to receive Botox injections. It’s important to discuss your medical history and any concerns you have with your healthcare provider before undergoing any Neuromodulator treatments.
