What is PRP?

PRP is Platelet Rich Plasma, it is used to stimulate healing and restoration using one’s own blood components. Blood is withdrawn by a RN, placed in a centrifuge, and the PRP is separated out and injected where stimulation and growth factors are needed.

Can PRP be used for hair loss?

PRP is a perfect treatment for those individuals noticing thinning and patchy hair growth. The PRP is injected specifically to the areas of the head that need stimulation. The PRP stimulates growth of the hair follicles and can restore hair growth with multiple sessions.

What is a Vampire Facial?

The Vampire Facial consists of using the PRP and micro-needling pen to restore, repair and stimulate new collagen in the face. The growth factors in the PRP are important for new cell generation and cellular functions, such as creating new collagen and elastic fibers. The micro-needling injection sites allow the PRP to be placed deep in the skin and their granules are activated.

Who is a good candidate for the Vampire Facial?

Do to the non-invasive nature of the treatment there are few contraindications for the treatment, making most people an excellent candidate for the treatment. Those guests with age spots, acne scaring, wrinkles, scars, large pores and stretch marks looking for a treatment to help restore youthfully thicker skin and reduce signs of aging.

How long does the treatment take and does it hurt?

The treatment is quick only taking between 30-60 minutes, depending on whether one is doing the Vampire facial, Hair restoration or both! A numbing agent is used on the face to help with any discomfort during the treatment. Most guests find it manageable and if needed the treatment can be customized to ensure patient comfort throughout the entirety treatment without compromising the effectiveness.

How much recovery time is needed and what to expect after the treatment?

Recovery time is patient specific, but the down time is small, most patients needing only a couple days for the skin to return to normal. The area can be red, slightly swollen and will need to be protected from the sun during the healing process.

How many treatments will I need?

Vampire facials should be done 3-4 times as stacking these treatments in a series of every 2-3 weeks there is an additive effect in collagen production and collagen contraction. Usually 8 to 12 weeks after the series is complete the results are seen. For hair restoration 3-4 treatments are needed every 6-8 weeks to ensure hair restoration is achieved. After the sessions are complete maintenance treatments can be done every 4-6 months.
